Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim.  This has a soft and delicate nose with lifted florals, perfumed rose-petals and citrus fruit aromas harmoniously interwoven to form a light, fresh core.  Off-dry to taste, elegant and delicately presented flavours of white florals, citrus fruits, honey and spices flow on a fine-textured palate enlivened by brisk, racy acidity. The phenolics balance the wine, providing linearity and the wine flows with good vitality and energy to a dry, fine-grained finish with floral, pear and  honeysuckle nuances. This is a harmoniously aromatic, light-bodied blend with bright and lively acidity and a fine-textured line.  Serve as an aperitif, with dim sum and Asian fare over the next 2+ years.

Brilliant, light straw-yellow colour with light green hues on edge. The nose is elegantly presented with softly concentrated aromas of rose-petal florals with lifted pear and yellow stonefruit nuances, the nose growing in volume, density and interwoven completeness. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, a concentrated, rich core of pear fruit, yellow florals and honeysuckle unfolds layers of spices and flinty mineral complexities. This has weight and mouthfilling presence, the richness cut by fresh, lacy acidity.  The wine is harmonious in presentation and follows a moderately firm and concentrated line to a dry, receding finish. This is a well-concentrated, subtly nuanced and complexed aromatic blend with palate presence.  Serve with Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine over the next 2-3+ years.  49% Pinot Gris, 32% Riesling and 19% Gewurztraminer from the ‘Seaview’ vineyard, Awatere, with parcels of each variety picked and vinified separately, plus a field blend of three varieties vinified as one parcel, all cool-fermented, the Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and field blend aged 2 months on less, then all blended to 13.0% alc. and 5.5 g/L RS.

Pretty, bright herbal nose with tomato leaf notes and a hint of sweat. Citrus and passionfruit flavours, even some mango and tropicals which are well balanced and in good concentration. A less aggressive, more subtle style, done very well.

Good Quality Wines

With its mid-yellow hue, this wine shows nice nutty-citrus fruit characters on the nose. In the mouth, the lemony, peach-apricot flavours work really well. There's a nice creamy texture to the mid-palate with some oak toast on the finish. Pretty well done - great value!

Good Quality Wines

Good inky crimson colour. Dried fruit and plum aromas. Palate is dry and savoury and a hint leafy, then in the mid palate more sweet-fruited and berryish. There's some charry oak-chip influence and nicely rounded tannins.

Very Sauvignon Blanc-like on the nose. Cherry, capsicum and herb with a bit of citrus.
